User Reviews

Rating 5 - Easy to Improve Your Vocabulary With This Book

We use these in a homeschool setting and we couldn't be more pleased.  The print is easy to read and having both dictionary and thesaurus on the same page is very good.  This is one of those books we'll keep using for many years.

Rating 4 - Excellent Dictionary for Elementary

Last year, I required this reference book for my fifth graders. The students and I especially like the same-page layout for thesaurus words and definitions. Having the entire class literally on the same page really helps move lessons and activities along.

Yes, I could have done that with cheapie  dollar-store ones, but I've found those poorly printed and often missing some common words. I wish the price were a couple dollars lower, so I wouldn't feel I have to do an end-of-year "buy back." About two-thirds of the class did choose to keep their copies last year, so I have some used ones for next year. Other plusses: compact size, two-color printing, and bonus vocabulary sections good for quick "sponge" lessons.
